Sarnia-Lambton Alerts, powered by Everbridge Inc., is a regional public alerting system used by Sarnia-Lambton municipalities and other community partners to send emergency alerts and other important community notices to subscribers in a timely manner.
Sarnia-Lambton Alerts is offered free of charge and allows subscribers to customize which types of notifications they would like to receive and indicate how they would like to receive them based on the type of notification.

What is Sarnia-Lambton Alerts?
This service allows you to opt-in to receive notifications via email, smartphone app, phone calls, and text messaging based on locations you care about. You can choose to receive notifications about events that may affect your home, workplace, family's schools and more.
How do I sign-up for Sarnia-Lambton Alerts?
Sign-up online HERE, or download the Everbridge App.
When will it be used?
This system will be used to notify you about imminent threats to health and safety as well as informational notifications that affect your locations or work environments. Administrators will send notifications regarding local emergencies, industrial notices, road closures, Lambton Public Health notices and more.
Will I still get emergency notifications if I don't sign up?
In order to receive emergency notifications through Sarnia-Lambton Alerts, you must have an active account with up-to-date contact information.
What if my phone number or email address changes?
If your contact information changes, please login into your account to update your information.
Will my contact information be shared with others?
No. The information that you provide will be used only for Sarnia-Lambton Alerts notification purposes. Your contact or location information will not be given or sold to any other vendor or organization.
Why are not all alerts delivered by phone call or text message?
Non-emergency notifications such as road closures, are not offered via SMS text messaging or phone calls. Non-emergency notifications can be sent via email, or to your smartphone or hand-held device by downloading the Everbridge app and subscribing to Sarnia-Lambton Alerts. Emergency mandatory notifications such as shelter-in-place advisories, evacuations or drinking water emergencies will continued to be offered through SMS text messaging and phone calls.
What if I find that I am receiving too many alerts?
You can login to your account to update your subscription preferences at any time.
Can I sign-up to only receive emergency alerts?
Yes! If you opt out of all alert subscriptions, you will only receive notification in the event of an emergency where public action is required.
Is the Everbridge App required to receive notifications?
The Everbridge App is not required to receive notifications. Non-emergency alerts can also be delivered via email.
Is there a way I can look up past notices?
Yes. You can click on the Notifications tab to see a list of past notifications.
Is there a cost for this service?
There is no fee to register for the Sarnia-Lambton Alerts service. Please be advised that some cell phone plans may charge for text and calls.
